<title>The Texas Storm 1x15 Combo from Homestead Amps</title>
				<itunes:author>Anthony Stauffer</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>The Texas Storm 1x15 combo from Homestead Amps is a beast of an amp. This is not a practice or hobby amp, it is a serious, professional grade tool that begs to be played on a stage. That&#8217;s not to say you can&#8217;t use it in the studio, but be prepared for a challenge. I have never had such a hard time capturing the accurate &#8220;feel&#8221; of an amp. The lows are full, but tight. The mids are thick and brawny. And the high end is bright and sharp, but never brittle or papery. Trying to capture all those things was not easy, but after some trial and error, I stumbled onto a combination of mic positions that felt right.

This amp was incredibly rewarding to play. Cranking it felt&#8230; really, really good. Knowing that I would only have it for a few weeks, I played it as often as possible. A few times I found myself lying awake at night thinking about the amp, seriously considering sneaking back down the studio one more time.

				<title>The Homestead Amps Lineup</title>
				<itunes:author>Anthony Stauffer</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>A few weeks ago I met Peter McMahon, the owner of Homestead Amps. He was a long time friend of Cesar Diaz (SRV&#8217;s famed amp tech). During their years working together, Peter helped him build and repair amps for people, learning his approach to amp building and modification. Cesar passed away in 2002, and Peter continued running Diaz Amplification until a few years ago when he decided to launch his own line of amps.

Peter asked if I was interested in trying out &#8220;a few of his amps&#8221;, and of course I said yes (given that Cesar was SRV&#8217;s amp tech). Much to my surprise, &#8220;a few&#8221; meant the entire lineup of amps. So for a few weeks I had a glorious wall of extremely high&#45;end professional amps to play around with.

Of course nothing lasts forever, and after a few weeks I had to send the amps back. But I recorded two demos before I did. This first one is a quick run through the entire lineup of amps.

The amps shown in this video are:

HS50 (50w, 2x10)
Texas Storm (50w, 1x15)
BF25 (25w, 1x12)
HS100 (100w) into 212 Cab</itunes:summary>

				<title>D&#8217;Angelico EX&#45;SS Demo</title>
				<itunes:author>Anthony Stauffer</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>Enter for a chance to win the guitar in this demo from Texas Blues Alley and D&#8217;Angelico guitars.

In this video I&#8217;ll demo the D&#8217;Angelico EX&#45;SS. This model is the smallest of their Semi&#45;Hollow guitars. It&#8217;s comfortable to play, is well built, and looks stunning. In this demo I&#8217;ll use it for two different styles of music and describe some things I like about the guitar.</itunes:summary>

				<title>Lovepedal Super Six &#8220;Stevie&#8221; Mod Demo</title>
				<itunes:author>Anthony Stauffer</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>The Super Six (Stevie Mod) from Lovepedal is an &#8220;amp&#45;in&#45;a&#45;box&#8221; pedal designed to capture the sound of a Blackface Fender Super Reverb. Under the right conditions, it is the closest thing to SRV in a box that I&#8217;ve ever played (so far). As you&#8217;ll hear in the video, those conditions are:

An amp that&#8217;s fairly balanced, not to trebly.
Run at medium gain.
Pushed with a boost pedal for leads.

While your own playing and technique has more to do with sounding like SRV than anything else, this pedal does a great job of capturing that sparkle that the Super Reverb was known for.</itunes:summary>

<title>Dissecting Hendrix with Isolation in Capo</title>
				<itunes:author>Anthony Stauffer</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>Capo has been my goto slow&#45;down software for years, but the new isolation feature is pretty remarkable. In this video I&#8217;m going to dissect a track off of a Hendrix bootleg (Live at the Scene Club) and show you how Capo can isolate either of the two guitarists, even though they&#8217;re panned to different parts of the stereo spectrum.

Capo is available for Mac and for iOS. Find out more at Capoapp.com.</itunes:summary>

				<title>Behind The TXBA Curtain</title>
				<itunes:author>Anthony Stauffer</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>Today we&#8217;re going to pull back the curtain at TXBA and give you a behind&#45;the&#45;scenes look at how our studio is put together. First, you&#8217;ll see the modest equipment I started with in 2007, and small, steady upgrades that I made over time.

Then, you&#8217;ll see what I use now :&#45;)

All the equipment you see in the setup today was made possible, without taking out loans, by people who buy courses. The changes I&#8217;ve made to the gear, the tens of thousands of dollars I&#8217;ve invested invested, it was all done to ensure that every video coming out of TXBA looks (and sounds) incredible.

TXBA is moving soon, from this rented studio to a barn. This video marks the end of a chapter for TXBA, as we begin building again in our new home.</itunes:summary>
